After which you will then retrieve your baggage which will be screened for security purposes. Trolleys are available for free in this airport, there are also employees who can help you carry your luggage for a small fee. Once you exit the airport, a taxi is the most convenient form of transportation.
Dubai is considered as one of the safest cities of the world so there is no problem in walking around and sightseeing. Extra precaution must be taken however when handling your money. Make sure that when you withdraw in an ATM the person behind you is not so close to you. As much as possible do not place your wallet in your back pocket where it could easily be pick pocketed.

When dining in restaurants it is customary to leave a tip to the waiter although in some restaurants a general tipping box is placed in which all the tips would then be divided between the waiters. Many fine hotels already include a service charge in their bills. In personal service shops like barbershops, salons, massage parlors tipping are not required.

If you want to explore the desert of Dubai, make sure that someone knows where you are going and bring lots of liquids. As you walk in the desert the heat would make you perspire often so make sure to drink a lot of liquid at regular intervals to avoid dehydration. The most common illnesses associated with the desert heat are heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. When you feel any of these symptoms get in the shade immediately and consume lots of water.
